A Year of Firsts.

As I'm sitting here eating popcorn, watching the snow fall and intending to upload some pictures from Christmas, I find myself sifting through pictures of Samuel.

His first birthday is drawing near and I think about it every day lately. It's such a joy to watch him grown and learn daily.

Has it been a year already? It seems it was only last month he could still fit on the Boppy, even all sprawled out..it seems only a week ago that he couldn't yet crawl all over the house, say "mama" and "dada", and belly laugh at his silly Zayde (Yiddish for Grandfather & what we call my father-in-law).

We have had a whirlwind of a year: a sweet baby boy, too many moves, new jobs, humble moments, and lots of firsts--with life and with Samuel. And we will have many more firsts in the years to come.

But for now, some pictures of us for Samuel's first Christmas.

Sam's first Christmas :)

I know it's a terrible picture, but Sam's smile is the best.

We had a great Christmas. We wish we could have been in Ohio, too!

Samuel LOVED the Christmas tree. Every morning, we'd get close to tree so he could inspect it, smile at it, and eventually was curious enough to touch it :) He loved the lights on it.

Samuel's favorite part of Christmas morning was his stocking! It was the first thing we let him have, and we had a hard time getting it away from him! Other than that, he loves crawling around the living room, playing with shoes, trying to eat dog food, pulling himself up on everything, and not playing with his toys ;) Although, he has discovered he can throw things now...

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas. We are excited and hopeful to see what 2013 brings!
